I was a Domestic Violence Victim over 7 years ago. I spent 6 years with my Abuser until I took the chance and won!
I packed all I could fit in my car, dog included, and drove. I was afraid of the reprocution, but truly felt at peace with death if that is what it would come to. I really felt better to not live, then to live another day the way I was. I was Physically abused almost daily, emotionally and verbally abused constantly. I drove back to HOME for me and never looked back. I am now happily married with 2 awesome step boys and a spoiled 4 year old!
I never talk much about my past, not even to my husband much. Lately the scars seem more prominent as to be expected even all these years later. Supporting the Organization like this helps a lot.
