Unique Kids Birthday Games

On May 25, my son turns 4 and I am starting the preparations. I think my son started his about 6 months ago and now it is time for me to finalize it. I have loved browsing Pinterest and googling ideas. Here are some fun ideas I have found:

Carnival Party..my son would DIG this! I can set up simple booths in the yard. Instead of Grab Bags, they can go to each booth and collect a small prize (piece of candy, bouncy ball from a cheap multi pack, etc..) and keep it. I can have games like ring toss onto a bottle, Pick-a-Duck pond, Bean Bag Toss or the Lollipop game.
I am highly considering this one!

Bubble Wrap Game! You lay out several sheets of Bubble Wrap and the idea is to have each child slowly walk across the wrap without popping a bubble. Can be fun!

Pirate Party! Games included are Swab the deck-use brooms to sweep the ball around an obstacle back to the start line. Cannonball blast-tie a black balloon to each kids ankles and have them stomp around to explode others cannonballs without getting their own popped. Cannonball attack (sounds like a blast)-make cannonballs out of Styrofoam colored black or rolled newspaper wrapped in black tape and mark to "ships" with tape a ways apart. Divide kids up onto both ships and let them attack! The ship with the least cannonballs wins. They can pick up cannonballs thrown in their area and re toss!

Candy Shoppe! Make the entire party about Candy. Instead of cake-have an ice cream party with plenty of candy as toppings. Have an area that acts as decor with small (dollarstore), clear containers full of colorful candy and hang small bags and ties nearby. The colors will be decorative throughout the party and as the kids leave, they can fill a bag of the candies of their choice.

  1. Ya know, I never thought of this but surely remember years ago when I would take my kids to the carnival ...they loved the ring toss game. I have to share this one with my oldest daughter who is always having birthday parties for my grandchildren. You're pretty clever!
